How MyiPad Costs Me Money – Solid Applied Technologies
There’s no doubt that my iPad has saved me money in a lot of ways. It has kept me entertained on long layovers where I might otherwise have spent time browsing the airport shops and I have streamed tons of movies and TV shows from it so that my cable bill will soon be obsolete. However, there are also plenty of ways in which my iPad has cost me money, which is a good thing to keep in mind before you buy one (or give one as a gift).
Music.iTunes is great because I usually don’t have to buy an entire album if I hear a song I like and want to download it. The prices are reasonable, but there’s no doubt that those little purchases add up.Being able to pull the trigger on a purchase in a matter of seconds rather than having to trek to the store to do so has definitely increased this line item in my budget in recent years.
Books. There are tons of free books out there to read on my Kindle app, but when I hear everyone talking about a great new read, I usually want to hop on the bandwagon and read that instead.Though digital versions are less expensive than print, I find myself using the library far less often and spending a lot more on reading than I have in the past.
TV & Movies. There is no doubt that the iPad has been amazing for helping me catch up on old TV shows or helping me avoid a rental fee from my cable company’s On Demand menu. However, my Netflix and Hulu subscriptions are still an added expense that I didn’t have a few years ago. When I have a long flight without Wi-Fi ahead of me, I often end up paying to download a movie or TV series from iTunes to keep me entertained.
I don’t tend to buy too many apps and my iPad doesn’t have 3G, so those costs haven’t been as significant for me. In general, I think most would agree that the iPad will change your life for the better, but just remember, it may come at a cost to your budget!

Rumor: T-Mobile offer the iPhone in early 2013
After a while, T-Mobile could finally get what every great wireless company in the United States would have (always) in its catalog: the iPhone.

According to CNET , an analyst at Morgan Stanley (Nick Delfas) has sent a note saying that most likely the T-Mobile subscribers could aspire to an iPhone early next year (2013). Recall that T-Mobile is the only company in the United States that does not offer Apple’s iPhone.

Apple History Reflected in Old Ads
The company Apple has gone a long way since it was founded in the 1970s, but has not had an easy road (as many have come to believe). While still very young (in the 90s), Apple was on the brink of bankruptcy by serious economic problems, but with the help of Steve Jobs shortly after he recovered and consolidated (with the passing of time) as the most valuable company in the history of the United States.

There are countless ways to review the history of the firm from Cupertino, California, but an interesting new retronaut recently emerged. The site recently gathered a collection of 75 print ads created by Apple and its partner agencies, between 1975 and 2002.

The result is a fascinating timeline that illustrates the change in design aesthetics of Apple’s strategy. Some of these old ads we can see after the jump, and the whole collection can be seen on the website retronaut .
