How is the progress of Information and Communication Technology 2012
The Information Technology and communication have allowed leading the global world of communication, facilitating the interconnection between people and institutions worldwide, and removing spatial and temporal barriers.
Are called Information Technology and Communication to the set of technologies that allow the acquisition, production, storage, processing, and communication, recording and presenting information in the form of voice, images and data contained in acoustic nature signals, optical or electromagnetic. ICTs include electronic and technology base that supports the development of telecommunications, computer and audiovisual.
Features
* Heritage (Possibility of scanning). ICTs make information traditionally subject to a physical environment, heritage. By digitizing is possible to store large amounts of information, small physical devices (disks, CDs, USB sticks, etc.). In turn, users can access information located on remote electronic devices that is transmitted using communication networks, in a transparent and immaterial.
This feature has come to define what has been termed “virtual reality”, that is not really real. Through the use of ICTs are creating groups of people interacting in their own interests, forming virtual communities or groups.
* Instantaneity. We can transmit information instantly to places far away physically, through “information superhighway.”
Have coined terms such as cyberspace, to define the virtual space, not real, which puts the information, by not taking the physical characteristics of the object used for storage, acquiring that degree of immediacy and immateriality.
* Multimedia Applications. Multimedia applications or programs have been developed as a friendly interface and easy communication, to facilitate access to ICTs for all users. One of the most important characteristics of these environments is “interactivity.” Possibly the most significant feature. Unlike more traditional technologies (TV, radio) that allow one-way interaction, from a sender to a mass of passive spectators, the use of computers interconnected by digital communication networks, provides a bidirectional communication (synchronous and asynchronous) person-person and person-group. Is occurring, therefore, a shift to communication between people and groups that interact according to their interests, forming what is called “virtual communities.” The user of ICT is therefore an active subject, sending their own messages and, most importantly, makes decisions about the process to follow, sequence, pace, code, etc.
How to model software in information technology
Information technologies, software tools and the era of digitization are no longer an option but a necessity for development and progress of society, said the governor Javier Duarte Ochoa introducing the new government portal state and inaugurate the Expo Society, within the framework of World Internet, Telecommunications and Information Society.
The president said that in this commemoration, Veracruz endorses the commitment of entering fully into modernity and the state government is committed to innovation and use of technologies to bring together and provide better service to citizens.
Because technology, education, culture, information, business and health to exchange options are generating improvements to benefit people.
“In Veracruz understand the historical lesson that a little late today, could represent decades of backwardness in the future, and we understand that new technologies can and should be a tool to propel us toward further development of the state.”
Said tool Internet and communication are factors that help decrease the gap of inequality and therefore the state government’s effort has been directed to provide more rural telephony and connectivity. “Our commitment is to communicate with geographically remote communities, to unite the global community is undoubtedly because progress.”
Accompanied by Carlos Duarte Munoz, representative of the Secretary of Federal Communications, Dionysius Perez-Jerome and Mauritius Frescoing Braver man, President of the Board of the Mexican Internet Association, Duarte Ochoa reiterated his commitment to boost the internet and communication technologies as elements that transform and democratize society and transparent management of government.
At the same time, instructed the ministries of Finance and Communications to expedite steps to communicate to all regions and all people, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Transportation of the Federal Government.
He said he also will advance Veracruz port on the TV, “we become the first federal entity to have its own satellite communication link. This will make it possible to deploy our own satellite communications in disaster and above all, advance communication remote locations. “
He added that next to this effort is the coordination with the federation that will include 200 communities’ thousand points of satellite connectivity.
How Development of Telecommunications via Internet
Over 90% of large enterprises and medium enterprises and almost 40% of micro interact with government via the Internet. The two main reasons for the interaction are to obtain information and download forms. The most notable growth in SMEs and large enterprises has been observed in the full electronic management, which has increased by 5.2 points over the previous year.
Reports prepared by the Spanish Observatory of Telecommunications and Information Society (ONTSI) under the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade based on data from Survey on ICT usage in enterprises, carried out by the INE (Spanish National Statistics Institute), and states that 100% of large companies have computers, Internet access and email. It also notes that mobile phones and computers were available in 2 out of 3 small businesses in the first quarter of 2010.
In Spain, 94.3% of micro enterprises with Internet access through connection (fixed or mobile) broadband. 93.7% of them connected via fixed broadband (ADSL or cable) and 18.7% connect through mobile broadband. At the same time, 98.7% of SMEs and large enterprises with Internet access to connect via broadband (98.2% with fixed broadband and 36.7% mobile broadband).
SOCIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES
First, are the social and organizational changes? The processing of information has become increasingly visible and important in the economic, social and political. A statistical test is the growth of specialized occupations in information activities. These occupations now account for the largest share of employment in many industrialized societies. The largest category is that of data processors, mainly office workers, “followed by the information producers, distributors and employees of infrastructure.
Second, is technological change? The new information technology (IT) based on microelectronics, together with other innovations, such as optical disks and fiber optics, allow huge power increases and cost reductions in all types of information processing activities (the term ‘ information processing ‘covers the generation, storage, transmission, manipulation and visualization of information, including numerical data, text, audio or video).
The information processing aspects of all jobs may change through IT, so the revolution is not limited to information-related occupations, such as industrial robots change the nature of factory work.
Computing and telecommunications (and broadcasting fields like or editing) in the past were quite distinct sectors, involving different technologies. At present, these sectors have converged around a few key activities, such as using the Internet.
Current computer and telecommunications devices handle data in digital form using the same basic techniques. These data can be shared by many devices and media, all of them processed and used in a wide range of information processing activities.
The rate of adoption of new IT has been very rapid, much more than other revolutionary technologies of the past, as the steam engine or electric motor. At 25 years of its invention, the microprocessor had become commonplace in almost all workplaces and in many homes, not only present on computers, but in a vast variety of devices, from telephones and televisions to washing machines or toys.
Center for Innovation and Information and Communication Technology 2013
CITIC (Andalusia Center of Innovation and Information Technology and Communications) has addressed the design, development and implementation of an automatic tool for consulting on data bases and sources of public information.
The Technology Center has developed software with the ability to conduct automated searches on public data sources to be defined previously in the tool. Users also have the ability to save search parameters defined for a periodic analysis of data and manage both search and the results obtained by filtering and collaboration options.
Access to the platform, called Fast Patent, is via a Web interface by user ID and password. Once identified, the user can view and manage their work; these are the main units of inquiry. Within each job can include one or more queries to different databases.
Job creation can be accomplished by a quick form, creating a single query for work, or through an advanced form, through which you can assign multiple queries to the same work, and where they should specify parameters such as job name, the timing and frequency of updating the databases you want to view and set of queries to such databases.
Fast Patent main view is the list of results from each job that the user has configured. Through this list, the tool has a range of filtering and sorting, as well as the ability to insert comments, reviews or recommend any specific outcome of interest to you or other people around them.
CITIC initial development tool has been linked to two sources of information: The EPO (European Patent Office) and database Pub Med biomedical literature, belonging to the National Center for Biotechnology Information U.S. (NCBI).
J. A. Hurt ado, Project Manager of the Centre, states that “the potential of this tool and application areas are numerous, since, although initial development have included only two databases, the application is scalable, making it possible add different information sources, customizing, thus, the platform and data query.
Fast Patent is an instrument of technological support for surveillance and decision-making because it facilitates the access, analysis, dissemination and exploitation of various sources of information and technology trends in a simple, fast and efficient, individually or collectively. With it, users will have a greater capacity to make decisions and identify opportunities, among others.
