The new and affordable Model Nook Tablet 8GB

Amazon is going crazy with the manufacturers of tablets and eReaders with its incredible low prices as they really are taking a heavy blow to the market. Both have been taken to put the batteries on all sides, and has even been rumored on Apple and Samsung could soon present low cost tablets to compete with the price of Kindle Fire.

Today Barnes & Noble has submitted a full financial report and pass and has cast a new tablet in it, the Nook Tablet 8GB.

What catches the attention, before you start looking at properties and other stories, is its price as it hits the market for $ 199, exactly the same as the Kindle Fire, which should not be a coincidence.

This tablet is exactly the same as the house was for sale since last November, but the price is reduced from the previous $ 249 and increase the memory up to 8GB. In addition there is also a 16GB model for $ 249.

Here’s their technical characteristics:

  •      0.4 Kg
  •      Processor 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4 with 512MB RAM (1GB of RAM on the 16GB model)
  •      VividView screen 7 “
  •      802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity
  •      File Support EPUB, PDF, XLS, DOC, PPT, TXT, DOCM, XLSM MEPP, PPSX, PPSM, DOCX, XLX and PPTX

As you can see is very similar to Kindle Fire but, if I may, with the advantage of not being so closed to Amazon services as your tablet, which gives us more versatility. This we have not tested yet, and we must recognize that the Fire would like a shot, but with these features the new Nook does not have to fail.

How about this tablet lowcost? You think it’s a real alternative to tablets powerful Android or iPad for consumers who do not demand so much?

NFC chip is almost complete for mobile devices

NFC chips and allow us to make payments, synchronizing equipment and more with a single “tap”. A technology with many possibilities that is becoming closer. Still not a reality to capacity, there is no service in our country in which to make payments (Google Wallet) and the NFC is perhaps still a little green for this very reason. But we doubt that the future is very likely we end up using in our daily lives its benefits.

And if you want to know practical examples of how we use it, Sony gives us a few más.Y not support that does not have this great technology. Large companies are dipped in the development and adaptation, but a mixture of ignorance and distrust of the technology that does not benefit at all. And above this value only practical examples. It’s what you can see and touch what is to stop convincing people.

And Visa, Google, RIM and many others support this technology, Sony is not trying to escape. And it has created an interesting system consisting of the so-called Smartags, a kind of llaveritos NFC chip to suit all situations of our daily lives. An example of how you can serve the NFC chips for many more applications than the simple payment.

In a promotional video, Sony shows us the possibilities of Smartags along with recently introduced its new mobile, the Xperia S. Here we can see how each situation we have some needs of our different terminal configuration, if we’re home, at work, or going by car. For something as simple as they passed the end of one of these Smartags, we could do that automatically switches to a profile or another.

Something that is transferable to many situations and practical options. This is just a sample of the potential impact of this technology beyond what has made it more popular, as is the payment. The integration of these chips either in cars, shop windows or in products has great potential.

And not limited to the terminals that have integrated NFC. As soon as both mobile Android iPhone be possible to integrate these chips without coming already implemented in the factory. By housing in the case of the iPhone, and micro SD card in the case of Android, you can enjoy the benefits of a technology that has come to stay. Hand in hand Moneto, these accessories will be available shortly. A great idea to stop spreading this technology. And at a reasonable price, about $ 30 in the case of microSD and $ 80 a case for iPhone.

NFC has a long way to go, but certainly we’re definitely looking forward to land around here and we can prove the potential. And glad to see the commitment of large manufacturers with NFC, but I still believe that there is much to see and develop. What you you think? Do you think an alternative future.

Samsung Galaxy SII – The Best Android Phone by Far

Samsung Galaxy SII deals have been around for a time now. The device released by Samsung during the spring in the UK has become a very popular device and rightly so when you see the specs and the good job Samsung has done on creating an altogether full device.

The Samsung’s dual core processor is one of the fastest in the mobile phone world at the moment. Its 1.2GHz processor is rarely topped by anything and the fact it has 1GB of RAM means that it has enough of a cache to keep pace with any proceedings easily.

Samsung have also managed to give the SII a top of the range screen, which is probably the best on the current market. It’s a Super AMOLED Plus screen, something akin to crystal clear TV viewing. It is spread over a 4.3inch space with a WVGA resolution. This is not the highest resolution available on the market , although by no means does the screen appear pixelated and the vividness of the colours is second to none.

The phone manages to pack all of this into an 8.49mm wide chassis, which it must be said is excellent and feels very solid even though it is constructed from plastic. The device also looks quite handsome and bears a likeness to the iPhone 4 in its styling.

The phone comes with Android Gingerbread and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface which makes the device seem that little bit more individual in the way it works. It is a very responsive device thanks to this mix of the user interface and the Android phone operating system.

The device’s camera shutter is also quite fast thanks to the above and it comes with an 8mp camera which takes some excellent pictures and is also capable of taking 1080p photos and it must be said they look great when viewed on the large and clear screen.

The device really has it all in terms of technology and still manages to translate into a great user friendly phone. It is great to see that technological innovation and power can still be as good as anything else on the market. Samsung have used their smarts and developed a quality smart phone.
