Apple Could Use Quad Cores on The iPhone 5
The heart of the next iPhone 5 could have a quad core processor, doubling that of Apple’s latest handset and adding to the trend in other advanced smartphones.
The engineers at Cupertino have done several tests with different types of processors, but is not yet clear what will be chosen for the new iPhone.
Explains the Asian web technology Digitimes, Apple might have decided to implement the new iPhone 5 technology across all four cores of quad-core Qualcomm chips. With this option, the output terminal of the next company on the block would be guaranteed, since the LTE chip integrates a processor that offers advanced connectivity and an Adreno 320 graphics processor more powerful.
But Apple has other options on the market. Although since the company did not confirm nor deny anything about the iPhone 5, the rumor that is gaining more weight among experts is that Apple would opt for a quad-core processor A6, with the possibility that Samsung itself is responsible for make it.
In particular it would be a Samsung Exynos modified quad-core, very similar to that which the Galaxy S3. So the new iPhone should have a sheet than its competitors.
If true the rumor, the patent war that are involved in both the company on the block as the South Korean giant could soften
What are quad-core processors?
This type of processors get optimize the performance of the terminals, as well as give them more power, they get to allocate resources between different nuclei and thus save power. Thus, the new terminal would get Apple claims satisfy one of the most requested by the public to give more autonomy to the iPhone 5.
Possible improvements
Although no official date for the submission of the new Apple smartphone, any new features that continue to present the terminal coming to light.
The latter is on the back cover. It’s expected to be similar to the current design, but with the difference that in the iPhone 5 is more elongated and made of a single piece of metal to make it resistant and thin. However, the dimensions of the sixth generation of Apple phones would make it the slimmest smartphone on the market. Could measure around 7.6 mm, a significant reduction when compared with the 9.3 mm thickness of the iPhone 4S.
To confirm all the rumors about the iPhone 5 will have to wait for Apple to present in society to their new terminal. And that is also a rumor. The dates being considered range from late August through October.
